Choir Program
The Asquith Public School Choir Program offers students from Years 1 to 6 the opportunity to learn to sing and perform in a group. It is run on a not-for-profit basis by the Asquith Public School P&C in conjunction with Jim Jam Music, who provide an experienced conductor.

Our Choirs
Junior Choir
This is for students in years 1-2 to explore the joy of singing with others and build their confidence. Junior Choir consists of fun vocal, brain and body warm ups and then simple songs learnt by rote and repetition.
Performance opportunities include:

Senior Choir
This is for students in years 3-6. Senior Choir start with vocal, brain and body warm ups and then learn a range of songs including the challenge of learning to sing in parts.

Band Program
The Asquith Public School Band Program offers students from Years 3 to 6 the opportunity to learn a musical instrument and perform in one of our school bands. Participating in the band fosters musical skill development, confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong appreciation of music.
The band program is run on a not-for-profit basis by the Asquith Public School P&C in conjunction with Key Music Australia, who provide experienced conductors and instrument tutors.

Our Bands
Training Band
Designed for students who are new to playing an instrument, the Training Band builds the basics of note reading, rhythm, and ensemble playing.
Open to students in Years 3–6 in their first year of band.
Training band members take part in instrument lessons, band rehearsals, Band Camp and various performances at school events.
Rehearsals: Mondays, 7:45–8:45am in the school hall.
Performance Band
For students who have completed at least one year in the Training Band, the Performance Band performs a more challenging repertoire.
Performance band members also take part in lessons, rehearsals and Band Camp. Performance opportunities include school events, NSSWE Spring Festival, Asquith High Musicale, and Key Music events.
Rehearsals: Thursdays, 3:00–4:00pm in the school hall.
Instrument Hire
The P&C Music Committee has a small number of instruments available for hire. Priority is given to those in the training band.
Band Camp
A much anticipated event on the annual band program calendar is Band Camp. This is held at Crusaders in Galston from a Friday evening through to a Sunday afternoon in May. The weekend is supported by the P&C and is run by Band Committee parents as well as Crusaders' and KMA staff. It is a weekend full of instrument tutorials and band rehearsals, team-building activities, and fun, and culminates in a concert for families on Sunday afternoon featuring both bands.
